Welcome

Zero Waste Ottawa, originated as a blog project called A Dream Lived Greener which started in 2015 to document one woman’s journey to zero waste. Since then it has become a community of passionate, caring Earth lover’s and friends and has grown to over 1,200 members, making up what is now a Facebook group – Zero Waste Resources | Ottawa.

We invite you to join us. Before you navigate these pages, we encourage you to give thanks to the natural world, our planet and the people who make up your community. The Haudenosaunee have graciously published a document known as the Thanksgiving Address, or Greetings to the Natural World – which leads their day or event – always in gratitude for the gifts that Mother Earth has given us.

Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives.
